Magene, a technology company with a name that combines "magnetic" and "gene", was founded in December 2015 in Qingdao, China. The company has always been dedicated to developing intelligent, engaging, and information-based cycling sports.
Focusing on user needs and the evolving trends in cycling, Magene applies cutting-edge R&D technologies, innovative scientific and technological products, and smart sports equipment to both outdoor and indoor cycling scenes, aiming to create an excellent and enjoyable cycling experience for users in a scientific manner.
Magene's vision is to become the leading brand for the smart-cycling ecosystem, with a mission to enable cyclists to have a safe, easy-to-use, and enjoyable biking experience.
Magene's products, such as the Smart GPS Bike Computer, are designed to fuel the desire for speed. These products offer unique features that set them apart:
IP66 Waterproof: With excellent waterproof and dustproof performance, users can enjoy cycling in all weather conditions.
Speed/Cadence Sensor: The sensor can switch between speed and cadence modes by reinstalling the battery, with the red light flashing to indicate the cadence mode and the green light flashing to indicate the speed mode.
ANT+ & Bluetooth Dual Protocol: The wireless connection is accurate, fast, stable, and does not require magnet sensing, making it the best companion for GPS bike computers or smart phone apps. The connection is characterized by high accuracy, low latency, and no signal loss.
Compatibility: Magene's products are compatible with a wide range of devices, including Garmin, Wahoo, IGPSPORT, Bryton, and Magene bike computers, as well as Tacx, Zwift, and Bkool indoor trainers, Garmin smartwatches, and popular smart phone apps like Zwift, Wahoo Fitness, Onelap, Openrider, and Cyclemeter.
Regarding usage, users should remove the insulating sheet of the pre-installed battery before using the sensor. To switch between speed and cadence modes, they need to reinstall the battery. Only one mode can be selected at a time, so users will need two sensors to test both speed and cadence.
When using the Bluetooth protocol, one sensor can only connect to one app or device concurrently, but when using the ANT+ protocol, it can be connected to multiple devices simultaneously. When using a smart phone app, users need to search for the sensor within the app, as searching through the phone's Bluetooth settings is invalid.
To save power, the S3+ sensor will automatically enter a sleep state for one minute after it becomes stationary, and it will only start sending broadcasts again after being properly woken up.
